Job Summary:
Perform deburring, blending, polishing countersinking, grinding, drilling or grit blast operations using a variety of hand and power tools and equipment on surfaces and details of aerospace engine components.
  • Work from oral and written instructions to remove burrs, nicks and scratches on new or repair parts. Blend and polish repaired areas to achieve a smooth and continuous surface.
  • Remove details, drill holes and prepare surface areas for new pins, rivets, shrouds or other details as applicable.
  • Perform grit blasting operations to prepare surfaces and repair imperfections on a variety of parts for Aftermarket Operations.
  • Perform a variety of masking operations to prepare parts for spray coatings, etc.
  • May perform some assembly operations for Aftermarket Operations parts.
  • May be required to perform a variety of heat treat operations.

Qualification: Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of various measuring tools, such as height gauges, verniers, calipers and micrometers is preferred
  • Knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions concerning work methods and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic computer skills
  • Flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously

Education: Basic Qualifications:
  • High School or General Equivalency Diploma

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
