Pratt & Whitney's North Berwick Engineering Center, located in beautiful Southern Maine, is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Project Engineering Manager with the creativity, drive, and desire to see their ideas become a reality.
The selected candidate will manage Project Engineer to support activities and technologies related to commercial and military gas turbine hardware.
Hardware responsibilities include components found in the compressor, turbine, and bearing compartments. The Project Discipline Manager is an integral part of the NBEC leadership team and serves as the direct line supervisor for a team of repair engineers. You will work with a Far 145 repair station to support and lead cross-functional teams responsible for the design, fabrication, and repair of this critical hardware. You will be responsible for developing repairs and sustaining hardware to meet or exceed module and system requirements and work collaboratively to solve problems with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and system design teams. Other activities include - detailed task planning and tracking, including earned value management - coordinating integrated product development teams - integration of technologies into product lines - participating in investigations and corrective actions Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to take on challenging initiatives. A record of achieving objectives within schedule and budget constraints, and driving continuous improvement is highly valued. The NBEC Project Discipline Manager is a challenging and visible leadership position for the right individual. It is also an excellent opportunity to directly contribute to the successes of NBEC and P&W working with a broad range of customers and in finding solutions to difficult problems. We're looking for someone with demonstrated leadership skills. We need a team player who also works well independently, and will be highly adaptable to changing business needs.
Experience/Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or an Industrial Technology degree.
10 years of engineering experience.
US Citizenship due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree
10+ years of gas turbine development and support experience
Leadership experience.
Aerospace Industry experience.
Knowledge of FAA Repair stations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
